Welcome to BogotaBogota, the vibrant capital of Colombia, welcomes you with open arms! Upon arrival, you will be mesmerized by the city's modern and cosmopolitan vibe, with a multicultural population of almost eight million people from all corners of the country. The city's unique blend of customs and beliefs offers a truly inspirational experience for travelers.

We provide a private transfer from the airport to Hotel Novotel 93 or a similar hotel, where you can check in and begin this wonderful journey.

Did you know?

Bogota wasn't the first name of the city. Many think that its first name was Bacata or Santa Fe, but the reality is that Jiménez de Quesada was initially named Our Lady of Hope.

Citytour BogotaBreakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, the Panoramic tour of the historic center of Bogota will begin. A diverse city, green and urban, colonial and modern, in the historic center of Bogota, also called 'La Candelaria' is the Gold Museum, where you can see nearly 34,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic gold and more than 25,000 pre-Columbian objects.

On this tour, we will also visit some unmissable places such as 'La Plaza del Chorro de Quevedo' Casa de la Moneda, and Donacion Botero, where works by the master Fernando Botero, a Colombian internationally recognized in different artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, are exhibited.

At lunchtime, we will have a unique gastronomic experience with ingredients from the Amazon that invites you to connect with the ancestral roots of Colombia.

After lunch, we will visit Monserrate, where we will have a beautiful panoramic view of Bogota.

At nightfall, return to the Hotel Novotel Bogota 93 or similar.

Did you know?

Was Bogota founded 3 times? The date celebrated as the day Bogotá was founded is August 6, 1538. But actually, this was the second founding of the city, since the first occurred at the end of 1537 in what is today Carrera Segunda with Calle 13, that is, next to the Chorro de Quevedo

El Dorado Legend and ZipaquiraWe will begin our tour after having breakfast at the hotel. Our first destination is the Municipality of Guatavita, located 75 kilometers from Bogota, towards the Northeast. In the ancient times of the Muisca civilization, Guatavita was the religious capital of the Zipa domains. The main tourist attraction of the place is La Laguna, globally known for the legend of 'El Dorado' that spread throughout America during the Conquest.

After exploring Guatavita, we will continue towards Zipaquira, a major tourist destination in the region due to the Salt Cathedral. Back in the Muisca period, this town was called Chicaquira and was an economic center, crossroads, and the main place of exchange for the territories controlled by the zipa. The town's salt mine was the primary source of its prosperity.

Finally, we will return to Novotel Bogota 93 or similar by nightfall.

Did you know?

The history of the Salt Cathedral began in 1930, when miners built an improvised chapel in one of the tunnels to pray, but it was closed in 1992 due to the risk of structural failures, thus, in 1995, the new Salt Cathedral that we know today opened its doors.
